All work is customized and designed to meet specific goals and needs for each child. From 8th grade and beyond, I will work with your child to maximize their achievement, foster their identity, nurture their passions, and set them on a path to multiple college acceptances.

COLLEGE

Colleges are looking for more than great grades, high test scores and a long list of extracurriculars. They are looking for something special. To stand out among applicants, students must show strong evidence of sustained and focused leadership and the passion that drives their hard work and impressive accomplishments. My job is to assist students in identifying that passion, and showcase it in the application process.

Services include the following:

  • Support in the college search and selection process to find the perfect fit and perfect blend of Safety, Target and Reach schools

  • Strategic guidance on which standardized tests to take and when, along with recommendations for test preparation services

  • Summer program guidance, strategy, and application assistance

  • Strategic guidance on the use of the various application types (Rolling vs. Early Action vs. Early Decision vs. Restrictive Early Action vs. Single-Choice Early Action vs. Priority)

  • Strategic guidance on showing demonstrated interest including custom college visit guidance and little known actions to put you Out in Front

  • Development, writing assistance, editing and review for The Common Application®, Coalition Application personal essays, independent application essays and supplemental essays

  • Teacher and counselor recommendation strategy

  • Assistance with completing and editing The Common Application®, the Coalition Application, and independent applications

  • Assistance with completing the Self-Reported Student Academic Record and Self-Reported Academic Record

  • Oversight of and assistance with applications, transcript requests, and standardized test score submission 

  • Interview preparation including mock interviews with admission officers

  • Organizational tools and support to monitor the status of each application component and follow-up after submission

  • Visual or performing art portfolios

  • Assistance with Honors program and merit scholarship applications

  • Deferral and waitlist action plans

GRADUATE SCHOOL

I assist students applying to Law School, Business School, Medical School, Graduate, Masters and PhD Programs, Dental School and other graduate programs. Services include all of the relevant aforementioned assistance and includes application review by area specific experts.

TRANSFERS

While many students find the perfect fit and stay at the same college for their entire career, statistics show that about 35% of students will transfer at some point in their educational journey. Through strategic planning, I assist in navigating the competitive landscape and the emotional and logistical implications of the transfer process.

ATHLETIC RECRUITS

Assistance with NCAA eligibility, recruitment, and Clearinghouse registration. Provide information to students about the academic requirements for high school graduation, college admission and athletic participation. Through meaningful conversation, we separate the sport from the college and remind students that they are choosing a college, not a team, and should consider all the factors that go into that choice, such as location, size, academic offerings and student life. They should look for a college they'll thrive in even if they stop playing sports.

PERFORMING ARTS

Provide information and assist with applications and portfolios for students seeking arts college programs with specialized requirements - such as for musical theater, acting/drama, music, film, fine arts, dance or architecture. Due to the complexity of the performing arts college process, students should begin as early as possible.

STUDENTS WITH LEARNING DIFFERENCES

Students with learning differences may require additional support in determining which colleges offer appropriate resources and services. I assist with matching the student with higher learning institutions, coordinating with relevant programs and addressing learning differences in applications.

FINANCIAL AID ASSISTANCE

I assist college-bound students and families throughout the financial aid process to maximize all available grant, scholarship, work and loan options.
